I have a 3-year old girl and a 1.5 year old boy. We live on the ground floor apartment. We (the parents) are French and South African and speak English mainly between us. Our daughter is competent in English, French and Dutch. The children are generally well behaved. One is potty trained and the other requires nappies / diapers.
